Toată lumea se aștepta la un rezultat foarte bun pentru Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 la The Game Awards, dar nu cred că se aștepta cineva la o defilare de 14 iulie mutată în 12 decembrie, căci RPG-ul celor de la Sandfall Interactive a obținut la Los Angeles nu mai puțin de 9 premii având la activ 12 nominalizări. Între acestea, mult râvnitul premiu de Game of the Year. Prin această recunoaștere, Clair Obscur a stabilit un nou record, depășind cele 7 premii obținute în 2020 de The Last of Us și zdrobindu-și concurența, care a rămas să se mulțumească cu firimiturile. Trebuie spus că premiile Game Awards sunt acordate în proporție de 90% de către un juriu format din critici și jurnaliști din industrie, și în proporție de 10% prin voturile utilizatorilor, cu excepția categoriei Player’s Voice, care este compusă în întregime din voturile jucătorilor.

Francezii de la Sandfall Interactive nu anticipaseră un asemenea succes de critică și comercial. Entuziasmul din jurul jocului pare de neoprit, iar adaptarea sa cinematografică se conturează deja ca un viitor succes. La acest ultim capitol, jocul este supus unei schimbări de performanță prin integrarea unui suport pentru FSR 4, pentru cei care doresc să obțină câteva cadre în plus și să își uniformizeze framerate-ul, deschizându-se totodată către noi piețe cu șapte limbi noi, între care turcă și spaniolă.
A devenit Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 o referință al genului RPG? Timpul ne va da un răspuns. Un lucru este sigur: inovația nu provine neapărat din bugete monstruoase sau tehnologii de ultimă generație, ci din creativitate, dintr-o viziune artistică clară și rafinată, și, nu în ultimul rând, din încrederea deplină în inteligența jucătorilor.
